Le Parisien commented “A stop in risky state of emergency can cost you.” in regards to what happened to Olivier, 25 year old Parisian. This story happened because of Oliviers’ unappropriated behaviour but it also shows how much pressure there is still in Paris after all the terrorist attacks. French daily reports that in the night between Thursday and Friday a young man, driving a Porsche 911 Carrera S, reached 6th arrondissement of Paris wanting to spend the evening in that area. He couldn’t find the parking so he parked his car with the doule arrows in one car space reserved for taxis, near the Place de l’Odeon. Ironically he had to use the taxi to get back home since his car parked in a no parking zone was suspicious to the police so the bomb squad detonated the trunk.
The witness Olivier said: “I shouldn’t have parked my car there but before they detonated the trunk, the police contacted leasing company and than me. After I apologized, I assured them I would go immediately to the scene to retreive it. But they did not took in consideration: the trunk has already been exploded when I arrived. The local police asked me to retreive the car, as if nothing happened. I have a legal right to be compensated. And I’m still waiting for an explanation about why my vehicle aruses so much suspicion.”
